Ipsos, Australia's leading Social Research company, is conducting the ACT & Queanbeyan Household Travel Survey (ACT HTS)

To make the ACT HTS project a success, we are looking for committed casual field interviewers to join our team. Work starts 1st week of August and runs Friday – Sunday until mid-November.

In this role, you will undertake the recruitment of selected households for the ACT HTS research study. To ensure the success of the project, you will play a vital role in the completion of travel surveys around the ACT and Queanbeyan.

This study runs every 3-4 years and is a key resource in ACT’s transport policy and infrastructure planning and development.

Paid training will be provided, and there is potential for high achievers to be trained in supervisory positions.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

• Be available to work Friday, Saturday, AND Sunday at minimum. Additional days may be available.

• Have a mobile phone, a current driver’s licence, and the right to work in Australia

• Be confident and comfortable approaching households to introduce the survey





• Be fluent in English and have good communication skills

• Be well-presented, reliable, and have excellent attention to detail.

• Be comfortable using smart devices (e.g., tablets)

• Have access to a reliable vehicle and enjoy driving

• Sales, Field, or Census interviewing experience would be beneficial, but not essential as full training will be provided.

Benefits

- $38.43 per hour for fieldwork with an increase in line with FWC Annual wage case in July 2026

- Kilometres travelled paid at $0.98 per km.
