Townsville and surrounding areas Optometrist Positions Available for Our Children's Mobile Optical Team
Join our vibrant mobile optical team serving the Townsville and surrounding areas! . We have been servicing 1000+ childcare centres around QLD since 2017 with preventative dental and introduced optical to our scope in 2024.
This isn’t your typical 9 to 5 job. We offer flexibility with early starts and shorter days. Our team brings eye care services directly to Child Care Centres, Kindergartens, and Primary Schools, aiming to make vision fun for kids.
What We Do:
- Comprehensive & brief eye exams for typically 3- years old, sometimes under 3.
- Emphasis on early detection and preventive care to give kids a great start in life
Essential Criteria:
- Passion for working with children and a fun, friendly approach
- Car and driver’s license required & ability to carry mobile kit (provided)
- Traveling is a must, but we keep you close to your area where possible and pay extra kms where needed.
- Flexible working days during school times, school holidays off. Required days are Tuesday - Thursday only. Usually 8.30am-12.30pm, sometimes it will be later.
-You can select to work 1-2 days, bookings are made specifically for you and your availability.
-You will be provided with an assistant
- Qualified AHPRA registered Optometrist with own provider number

Contract Type: Contractor
Pay: day rate $450+GST(Approx 4 hours) + extra for KMS + extra patients if required
