Full-time temporary Duration of the training program: 12 months from 1-2-27 up to 30-1-28 Term of the Contract: 3 Years in line with clause 52 of the Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement At the end of the training program, CALHN will work with the employee to find a suitable placement within SA Health for the remainder of the 3 year contract. About the Role oin our team as a Service Registrar and play a key role in delivering high quality patient care across the service. You will assess, manage and coordinate care for surgical patients, work closely with Consultants and multidisciplinary teams, and help shape a supportive learning environment through teaching, mentoring and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities

- Manage the care of patients under Consultant supervision
- Assess new referrals from the Emergency Department, wards and specialist teams
- Coordinate timely reviews, admissions,



transfers and discharges
- Support the care of emergency surgical patients across the wards
- Assist in theatre as required
- Work closely with Consultants and multidisciplinary teams
- Liaise with Pathology, Radiology, Emergency, Outpatients and Theatre services
- Communicate clearly with patients and families to support informed care
- Build strong relationships with GPs and community referrers
- Mentor, supervise and support junior medical staff
- Contribute to quality improvement and ongoing education
- Respond professionally to patient and family feedback

About You You are a collaborative and patient focused medical professional who thrives in a busy clinical environment. You bring sound clinical judgement, excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering safe, high quality care.

- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
- General registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Build strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams
- Make sound clinical decisions and solve complex problems
- Commit to quality improvement and patient centred care
