As an Enrolled Nurse at Aberlea you will be responsible for
- Medication administration.
- Wound treatment.
- Resident assessment.
- Care planning.
- Support/ supervision of staff on shifts and being a professional role model to the broader Aberlea Community.
These roles are supported by and work in consultation with the Clinical Care Coordinator and our Registered Nurses.
Required skills and experience
1. Current AHPRA registration.
2. Demonstrated understanding of person centred care.
3. Experience in leading and supervising teams of people.
4. Previous experience working within a care role, experience working in an Aged Care Facility is advantageous.
5.
Clear communication skills and a solid customer focus to ensure that residents are put at the front and centre of all that we do.
6. Ability to work autonomously while being an effective team member.
7. A flexible approach to working, adaptable to different shifts on offer.
8. IT skills – including the ability to use email and Microsoft applications.
9. Understanding of the Aged care quality standards and accreditation framework.
10. Demonstrated knowledge and application of contemporary nursing practice, importance of accurate documentation relating to pain management for complex care needs.
