Love leading with heart? mecwacare is looking for a dedicated and experienced Facility Manager to lead our 62-room residential aged care home, mecwacare Flora Hill, located in the vibrant regional city of Bendigo.

As Facility Manager, you'll lead the daily operations of our home, ensuring exceptional care, comfort, and lifestyle for our residents. Reporting to the Head of Service Operations, you will lead frontline teams, ensure staffing resources align with client needs, oversee the neighbourhood's financial performance, and support the resolution of client and service escalations with the Manager, Service Operations. Additionally, you will play a critical role in overseeing quality, safety and compliance within your neighbourhood, while building trusted relationships within the local community.

What you bring:

- Current and ongoing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse (or an Allied Health qualification).
- Previous experience as a Facility Manager or in a similar leadership role within residential aged care.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a residential aged care setting in a clinical management role.
- Demonstrated ability to provide strong leadership, guidance, motivation, and strategic direction to employees, and create partnerships to achieve agreed objectives.
- Experience managing teams, budgets, resources, and operational performance.
- Proficient knowledge of aged care funding models, the Aged Care Quality Standards, AN-ACC documentation requirements, and relevant legislative requirements.
- Demonstrated skills in root cause analysis and implementing solution-focused improvements.
- Satisfies the ongoing requirements of Key Personnel as defined under the Aged Care Act 2024.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and negotiation skills.
- Current First Aid, CPR, and Working with Children Check (WWCC) certifications.
- Ongoing commitment to personal and career development,



with the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of the aged care industry.

Desirable

- Tertiary management and/or business qualification or working towards same.
- Extensive experience in aged and/or Residential based services.
- Experience with continuous improvement and risk management systems and processes.
- Post graduate qualification related to aged and/or Residential services.
- Advanced skills in tender preparation and writing.
- Experience with change management processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage service growth and expansion
