About the role

Yubute Fabrication PTY LTD is seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator to join our team on a full-time basis at our facility in Kelso, NSW 2795. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding metal components and structures to precise specifications. This position is central to our operations, ensuring that every product meets our high standards of quality and durability. You will work in a hands-on environment where your technical expertise and attention to detail directly contribute to the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our clients.

Key responsibilities

- Operate welding equipment including MIG, TIG, and stick welding machines to join metal components according to technical drawings and specifications

- Prepare materials and work surfaces, including cutting, grinding, and cleaning metal before welding

- Assemble metal structures and components using appropriate fastening methods and welding techniques

- Inspect finished welds for quality, durability, and compliance with industry standards and customer requirements

- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions to ensure accuracy in fabrication

- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition, reporting any maintenance issues

- Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and organised work environment

- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and project deadlines

- Perform quality control checks and document work completed

What we're looking for

- A relevant welding qualification or certification (such as a Certificate III or higher in Welding)

- Proven experience as a welder or fabricator, ideally in a commercial or industrial fabrication environment

- Proficiency in multiple welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding

- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately





- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work

- Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and a proactive approach to safety

- Physical fitness and the ability to work in wide-ranging conditions, including standing for extended periods and working at heights when required

- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

- Reliability and a strong work ethic

- Experience with fabrication software or tools is a plus

- Current working with children check or willingness to obtain one (if required by role)
