Collings Marine, situated in Myaree, is expanding its team and actively seeking an experienced marine mechanic/technician for a full-time position. We are an authorised Volvo Penta Dealer offering continuous training opportunities to the ideal candidate.
Join a close-knit and experienced team at Collings Marine, a trusted name in WA marine services. We proudly specialise in leading inboard and sterndrive brands such as Volvo Penta, MerCruiser, Cummins, and Yanmar. As part of our workshop and field operations, you’ll be hands-on with diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance across a wide range of marine engines, including outboards, sterndrives, and inboards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
- Diagnose mechanical issues and recommend appropriate solutions
- Perform installation, troubleshooting, repair, and ongoing maintenance to a variety of propulsion systems
- Carry out inspections and sea trials
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities using an App based software
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Trade Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Mechanical, Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic or similar
- 2 years trades experience desired
- Expertise of marine engines, transmissions and propulsion systems
- Driver’s License essential
- Skippers Ticket desired or willing to obtain
- Forklift Ticket desired or willing to obtain
