Job Description:
Due to growth, we are looking for an experienced Hiring & On Boarding Officer to join our team who will be responsible for end-to-end recruitment and onboarding across the organisation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our workforce meets all regulatory, compliance, and quality standards required within the disability and youth support sector.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for community and Head Office roles
- Draft, post, and manage job advertisements across multiple platforms
- Screen applications and conduct phone and face-to-face interviews
- Coordinate and complete reference checks, right-to-work checks, and background screening
- Manage compliance requirements, including NDIS Worker Screening, WWCC, police checks, and mandatory documentation
- Prepare and issue employment contracts and new starter paperwork
- Coordinate inductions and support new starters through onboarding
- Liaise with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and role requirements
- Maintain accurate recruitment and employee records
- Support continuous improvement of recruitment and onboarding processes
Skills & Attributes
- Previous experience in recruitment, ideally within disability, community, or youth services
- Understanding of compliance-based recruitment requirements
- Excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills
- High attention to detail
- Professional, empathetic, and values-driven approach
- Ability to work independently and prioritise efficiently
Requirements
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
- Experience recruiting frontline support workers
- Knowledge of SCHADS Award and NDIS (highly regarded).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willing to obtain)
- Current Blue & Yellow card (or willing to obtain)
- Full-time availability (38 hours)
