South Coast Therapy & Support Group is committed to creating supportive and innovative allied health services while fostering a workplace culture that empowers clinicians, promotes professional development, and improves outcomes for regional communities.Role Description The Senior Occupational Therapist is a full-time, on-site role based in Nowra, NSW, providing advanced clinical assessment and intervention for children, adults, and older adults across community, home, school, and clinic settings. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting functional and sensory assessments, developing and implementing evidence-based intervention plans, and recommending assistive technology and environmental modifications to support clients’ independence and participation.



The role involves supervising and mentoring early-career clinicians and allied health assistants, contributing to clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives, and collaborating with families, support coordinators, educators, and other health professionals. The Senior Occupational Therapist will also document clinical progress, prepare reports for funding bodies, participate in interdisciplinary case discussions, and support the development of group programs and innovative service models.QualificationsStrong clinical skills in Occupational Therapy, including assessment, intervention planning, and evidence-based practice across the lifespan.Knowledge of principles relevant to functional capacity, disability, and chronic health conditions.Excellent Communication skills, including clear documentation, report writing, and collaborative work with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.Experience or demonstrated interest in Pediatrics, including developmental assessment, early intervention, and family-centered practice.Recognized degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration (or eligibility for registration) with the relevant professional board and association.Experience working within NDIS, Medicare, Aged Care, and other funding frameworks, including an understanding of person-centered and goal-directed care.Proven ability to provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and leadership within an allied health team environment.Current driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Shoalhaven and Illawarra regions for community-based visits.
