Williams Racing WA is seeking an experienced and confident Track Rider to join our professional thoroughbred racing stable in Karnup.
This position is focused exclusively on track riding and would suit a capable rider who takes pride in riding to instructions and contributing to the development and preparation of quality racehorses.
About the Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Riding thoroughbreds during morning trackwork
- Riding horses at varying stages of their preparation
- Providing clear and accurate feedback to the trainers
- Following individual riding instructions for each horse
- Maintaining a qualified approach to horse welfare and workplace safety
About You
To be considered, you must:
- Have proven experience riding thoroughbred racehorses in trackwork
- Be a confident, balanced and capable rider
- Be reliable and available for early-morning starts
- Be available to work weekends and public holidays as required
- Have a strong understanding of horse behaviour and welfare
- Be physically fit and able to work safely in a fast-paced racing environment
- Work well as part of a professional team
- Be able to provide suitable references
