SouthPaws Specialty Surgery - Mornington Evening Shift Veterinary Nurse (Part time, RR-10465)

The Role

We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate and motivatednurseto workovernightat ourMorningtonHospital, 1 night per week. This is a Friday night 7pm-7am with opportunity to pick up additional shifts across both our Mornington and Malvern locations.

Responsibilities

- Monitor patient comfort and vital signs and maintain patient charts
- Administer medications.
- Handle patients, toileting and exercise
- Monitor & maintain CRI's, fluid therapy, urinary catheters, patient drains etc.
- Update patient records and communicate with clients as required
- Maintain a high standard of ward organisation and cleanliness
- Process, clean & pack surgical instruments
- Clean theatre & whole hospital as required
- Restock hospital

Requirements

- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience




- Experience working in a surgical and/or referral hospital environment preferred but not essential
- Experience with overnight work is preferred but not essential
- Sound knowledge of veterinary nursing procedures
- Confidence assisting with surgical procedures and patient care
- Experience in anaesthetic monitoring
- Robust organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
- A professional, positive and team-focused approach
