About the Role As a Trades Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the workshop team by preparing materials, assisting qualified tradespeople, and ensuring work flows efficiently throughout the fabrication process.
Key Responsibilities

- Prepare materials for Boilermakers and Pipefitters.
- Mark up and organise new materials.
- Move components through various stages of production.
- Grind steel plates and pipes.
- Perform general workshop and yard duties.
- Assist NDT Technicians with moving materials for testing.
- Maintain a clean, protected, and organised work environment.

What's on Offer
- Long-term employment opportunity.
- Minimum 38 hours per week.
- Regular overtime available:
- Approximately 2 hours per day (Monday to Friday).




- Up to 5 hours on Saturdays during busy periods.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

- At least 2 years' experience as a Trades Assistant or within a metal fabrication workshop.
- Experience working around steel fabrication, boilermaking, or pipefitting.
- Good understanding of workshop safety practices.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to assist across different workshop tasks.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Essential Requirements
- Current Forklift Licence (essential).
- Current Driver's Licence- Manual (essential).
- Ability to perform physically demanding work.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused.
