Terry's Tradies Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Locksmith Workshop Manager to lead our Burleigh Heads workshop.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, this senior leadership role combines hands-on locksmithing with workshop management, staff leadership and operational oversight. You will be responsible for leading our workshop team, maintaining high standards of workmanship, improving productivity and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the business.
What You'll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Leading, mentoring and supporting workshop locksmiths and apprentices
- Managing daily workshop operations, workflow and job allocation
- Scheduling work to maximise productivity and efficiency
- Quality assurance of completed work before dispatch
- Providing technical guidance and support to workshop staff and on road locksmiths
- Preparing quotations and assisting with technical customer enquiries
- Managing inventory, purchasing and supplier relationships
- Maintaining workshop equipment and a safe, organised workplace
- Ensuring compliance with Workplace Health & Safety requirements
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a qualified locksmith
- Previous workshop leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong technical knowledge across residential,
commercial and automotive locksmithing
- Experience with Promaster key manager software and restricted key systems
- Experience cutting and programming automotive keys, ignition repairs etc
- Strong organisational, leadership and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing stock and purchasing
