About the role

Carmart Perth is seeking an enthusiastic and driven Used Car Sales Person or Trainee to join our dynamic sales team. This is a full-time position based in East Victoria Park, WA 6101. Whether you're an experienced sales professional looking to transition into the automotive industry or a promising trainee ready to launch your career in used car sales, this role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and achieve outstanding results. You will be at the forefront of our customer interactions, responsible for showcasing our quality vehicles and closing sales whilst building lasting relationships with our clientele.

Key responsibilities

1. Greet customers warmly and establish rapport to understand their vehicle requirements and budget

2. Conduct product knowledge briefings and vehicle demonstrations to highlight key features and benefits

3. Negotiate sales terms professionally and work towards closing deals that satisfy both customer and company objectives

4. Prepare and process sales documentation accurately and efficiently

5. Maintain detailed customer records and follow up on leads to maximise conversion opportunities

6. Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets and key performance indicators

7. Keep abreast of current vehicle inventory and market trends to provide informed recommendations

8. Support team colleagues and contribute to a positive, cooperative sales environment

9. Ensure compliance with all relevant automotive sales regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

1. Proven sales experience in a retail or consultative sales environment (preferred but not essential for trainees)

2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly

3. Strong negotiation abilities and a results-driven mindset with a track record of achieving targets

4. Enthusiasm, confidence and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple customer interactions

6. A valid driver's licence and willingness to test drive vehicles with customers

7. Honesty, integrity and a professional approach to customer relationships and sales practices

8. Motivation to learn and develop within the automotive sales industry (ideal for trainees)

9. Basic computer literacy and comfort with CRM systems and sales administration tools
