About the Business

Our Equity and Social Impact Division brings together policy and reform advice, while helping those experiencing vulnerability to participate safely and securely in our economy and remain connected with the community. It also provides grants to community groups and non-government organisations to expand services to support people.

Role Details

The Senior Policy and Project Officer is a role within the Social Policy, Evaluation and Reform Directorate and is accountable to the Principal Policy and Programs Officer, Social Inclusion Policy and Partnerships for:

- developing, implementing, and evaluating projects and reforms that focus on social inclusion, including LGBTIQA+, Carers, Youth, and Volunteers




- identifying and analysing state, national, and international policy agendas relevant to social inclusion and utilising this information to formulate responses to policy issues
- providing advice and support to senior managers and representing DHS in committees, forums and working groups at state and national level in relation to social inclusion reforms.

Special Conditions
National Police Check required.Duration: Term up to nine (9) months.

Screening Checks

If you are new to the department and are invited to an interview, you will be required to produce a National Police Check, which has been issued within six months of your application for the role. National Police Checks can be applied for via the South Australia Police or through an Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission accredited body.
If the role you are applying for also requires an Employment-related Screening Check, you will be required to undergo such assessment as is advised by DHS, including periodic assessment during your employment.
