About the role

Kingtide Productions (producers of the TV and YouTube show ‘Mark Berg’s Fishing Addiction) is seeking a talented and energetic Social Media Editor and Coordinator to join our marketing and communications team. This is a full-time position based in Tweed Heads South, NSW working Mondays to Thursdays. You will work with our social media manager and marketing manager. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, curating, editing, and publishing engaging social media content across multiple platforms. You will be a key player in building and maintaining our online presence, driving audience engagement, and supporting our broader marketing objectives. This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of creativity and strategy, helping to amplify our shows brand voice and connect with our audience in meaningful ways.

Key responsibilities

- Create, edit, and publish original social media content including graphics, videos, copy, and multimedia assets across all company social platforms

- Develop and maintain a consistent content calendar, ensuring regular posting schedules and brand alignment across channels

- Monitor social media performance metrics and analytics, generating insights and reports to inform strategy and optimise content performance

- Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages in a timely manner, and foster a positive online community

- Coordinate with internal teams to gather content ideas, stories, and updates for social media distribution

- Research social media trends, platform updates, and best practices to keep our strategy current and competitive

- Edit and enhance photography and videography assets for social media publication





- Assist in the development and execution of social media campaigns and promotional activities

- Maintain brand guidelines and ensure consistency across all social media channels

- Support the broader marketing team with ad hoc social media projects and initiatives as needed

What we're looking for

- Proven experience working in social media management, content creation, or a related marketing communications role

- Robust proficiency with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, and emerging platforms relevant to our industry

- Demonstrated experience in content editing, including photo and video editing using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar software

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling, brand-aligned messaging

- Strong understanding of social media analytics and the ability to interpret data to drive decision-making

- Creative mindset with the ability to generate original ideas and think outside the box

- Detail-oriented approach with strong organisational and time management skills

- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Familiarity with content management systems and scheduling tools such as Buffer, Hootsuite, or Meta Business Suite





- Experience with trend analysis and the ability to adapt content strategy based on platform algorithm changes
