Servicing the training needs of the Mining, Civil Construction and Transport industries RMS Training (Richards Mining Services Pty Ltd) is a privately owned Registered Training Organisation (RTO) which commenced operation in 2001.
We are currently seeking a suitably qualified Quality Coordinator to assist with the maintenance of compliance requirements in accordance with the Australian Quality Skills Authority (ASQA).
Based in Joondalup you would be joining a family orientated team, participate in regular scheduled team building social activities and work in a comfortable air conditioned office.
The preferred applicant will have proven experience working in an RTO with a thorough understanding of ASQA standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and schedule compliance and quality assurance processes inclusive of internal audits, validation and moderation
- Maintain Trainer matrix and trainer qualification requirements
- Assist with addition to scope applications where needed
- Monitor compliance and review quality assurance processes with existing auspicing agreements
- Maximise the functionality of the Student Management System (Axcelerate) in regards to management of compliance records
- Review, implement, monitor and record continuous improvement actions
- Review and audit training documentation against required compliance requirements
- Oversee and lead the RTO admin team
- Assist with policy and procedural requirements and continuous improvement
- Oversee and facilitate compliance reporting as required by the standards
Essential Skills and qualifications:
- Ability to work autonomously
- An understanding of the National Vocational Education and Training Regulator (Outcome and Compliance Standards for NVR Registered Training Organisations) Instruments 2025
- Intermediate computer skills
- Understanding and familiarity of Avetmiss
- Understanding and familiarity of Asquanet
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail
- Work smarter not harder attitude
- Ability to lead a small team
Highly desirable:
- Previous experience working alongside or within a similar role
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Familiarity with Axcelerate (Student Management system)
