Volleyball WA (VWA) is the peak body for volleyball in Western Australia, driving the growth of the sport across indoor, beach and pathway programs.
Over the past decade, volleyball in WA has experienced solid and sustained growth, with increased participation, expanding competitions and a rising profile across the community. This momentum has been driven by a passionate team at Volleyball WA supported by our network of clubs, athletes, volunteers and partners.
VWA is now entering an exciting new phase, focused on building participation, strengthening pathways and elevating the visibility of the sport at all levels, including through the continued development of the Perth Steel program and Volleyball Academy. About the Role
We are seeking an energetic and creative Marketing & Communications Coordinator to join our team on a 12-month parental leave contract.
This is a hands-on role responsible for delivering VWA’s marketing, communications and digital content, supporting participation growth, brand awareness and stakeholder engagement across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver marketing campaigns to promote VWA programs, events and competitions
- Manage VWA’s digital channels including website, social media and e-newsletter
- Create engaging content that grows audience reach and engagement
- Produce communications including newsletters, media releases and digital content
- Support media opportunities and stakeholder communications
- Maintain brand consistency and deliver sponsor visibility and reporting
- Support marketing and promotion of key events (including Awards Night and Clubs Conference)
- Monitor performance and provide insights to continually improve outcomes
About You
You are a motivated and organised marketing professional with a strong digital skillset and a passion for sport or community participation.
You will bring:
- Experience delivering marketing campaigns with a digital focus
- Strong content creation and communication skills
- Experience managing social media channels and digital platforms
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a range of stakeholders
Experience in sport or the not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded.
