The Role

Lead the planning that keeps projects moving.
We're looking for an experienced Lead Resource Planning professional to lead our Planning team and oversee workforce planning, mobilisation and compliance across our Shutdown, Maintenance and Sustaining Capital Projects portfolios. Working closely with operational leads, clients and operational leaders, you'll play a critical role in ensuring workforce readiness while developing a high-performing team that thrives on collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Resource Planning Manager, you'll provide leadership to the Planning team while overseeing workforce planning and mobilisation activities across multiple projects and disciplines.

- Lead, mentor and develop the Planning team, fostering a cooperative, accountable and high-performing culture.
- Oversee workforce planning, mobilisation and compliance across Shutdown, Maintenance and Sustaining Capital Projects portfolios
- Partner with operational leads and operational leaders to forecast workforce requirements and support project delivery.
- Manage resource allocation, roster planning and workforce movements across multiple concurrent projects.
- Ensure all mobilisation, site access and compliance requirements are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Build strong partnerships with clients and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.




- Identify planning risks and implement practical solutions to minimise project impacts.
- Analyse workforce utilisation and planning trends to improve efficiency and planning outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across planning processes, systems and reporting.

About You

You're an experienced workforce planning leader who enjoys balancing people leadership with operational delivery. You can confidently manage competing priorities, make informed decisions and build trusted relationships across all levels of the business.

- 3-5+ years' experience in workforce planning, mobilisation, scheduling or resource coordination within mining, shutdown, maintenance or construction.
- Leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop others
- Strong understanding of mobilisation, workforce compliance, site access and roster management.
- Experience working closely with Project Managers to support project delivery and workforce forecasting.
- Knowledge of sustaining capital, maintenance or project-based work environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office and workforce planning, compliance or client management systems.
- A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to enhance planning processes.
