As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Finance Manager / Financial Controller to lead our finance function and play a key role in supporting the company's continued success.

About the Role

Reporting directly to senior leadership, the Finance Manager / Financial Controller will oversee the day-to-day management of the finance function while providing commercial insights that support strategic decision-making across the business.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to an experienced finance professional who enjoys balancing operational execution with strategic financial management. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the company's financial reporting, compliance, cash flow management and financial governance while driving continuous improvement across systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting

- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management reports.

- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.

- Monitor profitability, business performance and key financial metrics.

- Maintain robust financial controls and reporting integrity.

- Manage multi-entity financial reporting and intercompany transactions.

Compliance & Financial Control

- Ensure compliance with BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax, Superannuation and QLeave obligations.

- Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations.

- Ensure audit-ready financial records and supporting documentation.

- Strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks.





- Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and payroll processes.

Treasury, Banking & Insurance

- Manage cash flow, working capital and funding requirements.

- Maintain relationships with banking and finance partners.

- Oversee payment processes and financial risk controls.

- Coordinate company insurance programs and annual renewals.

Systems & Process Improvement

- Partner with the Head of Systems to identify and implement process improvements.

- Drive efficiencies through automation, AI technologies, system integrations and offshore support resources.

- Optimise financial systems, reporting tools and approval workflows.

- Mentor and develop junior finance team members.

- Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy and continuous improvement.

Commercial Support

- Provide financial analysis and commercial insights to operational managers.

- Support procurement, asset management and capital expenditure planning.

- Liaise with external accountants, auditors, banks, insurers and regulatory bodies.

- Deliver practical financial advice that supports operational and strategic decision-making.

About You

You are a commercially minded finance leader who enjoys working closely with operational teams and business leaders. You have solid technical accounting skills, excellent commercial judgement and a continuous improvement mindset.

Essential Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.

- CPA,



CA or IPA qualification.

- Current Australian Driver Licence.

Skills & Experience

- 7–10+ years' experience in finance, including leadership responsibilities.

- Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management.

- Comprehensive knowledge of Australian taxation and statutory compliance requirements, including BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax and Superannuation.

- Experience managing finance across multi-entity or complex business structures.

- Background in commercial or operational businesses rather than public practice alone.

- Exposure to HR, payroll or broader corporate services.

- Experience working alongside business owners or executive leadership teams.

- Demonstrated success improving systems, financial processes or ERP environments.

- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse performance and identify opportunities.

- Excellent reconciliation and financial control capabilities.

- High attention to detail while maintaining a strategic perspective.

- Ability to balance hands-on financial management with leadership responsibilities.

- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
