About Oceania Film Company

Oceania Film Company is a Perth-based corporate video and storytelling agency. We help established businesses communicate clearly through strategic, high-quality video. We don't just make videos that look good; we make content that works.

We're growing our editing team and looking for a talented editor to take on regular work, with a genuine path to part-time or full time later this year for the right person.

The role

You'll be editing a varied slate of corporate and brand content, including:

- Brand videos, case studies, and testimonial pieces
- Filmed interviews (multi-cam, 4K 10-bit)
- Highlight reels and event coverage
- Short-form BTS content for LinkedIn and Instagram (reels, carousels, under 60 seconds)
- Basic colour grading, including DJI drone footage shot in D-Log

We run a structured pipeline: briefs delivered through Jira, feedback through Frame.io, and all footage organised in a central file hub with clear naming conventions, so your time goes into the creative work, not chasing assets.

What we're looking for

- Strong, demonstrable editing skills in DaVinci Resolve.
- A sharp sense of pacing, story, and rhythm. You can shape raw footage into a clear narrative
- Reliability and clear communication — you hit deadlines and flag issues early
- Comfort with audio editing basics (isolating lav channels, removing noise without noticeable distortion) and colour grading
- Motion graphics / titles and lower-thirds work




- A reel or portfolio that shows your range

Nice to have

- Experience with corporate or brand content specifically
- Familiarity with Jira and Frame.io workflows

- Rate: $30–$40 AUD/hr starting rate based on skill, with room to grow as the role develops
- Location: Perth on-site or hybrid strongly preferred; we'll consider editors anywhere with reliable high-speed internet who are a strong fit
- Software: DaVinci Resolve
