About the Company
Our client is a well-established Australian gold producer with a significant exploration portfolio across Western Australia. With ongoing investment in exploration, drilling programs and project development, they are seeking an experienced Land Access Co-ordinator to support the delivery of exploration activities across multiple project areas.
About the Role
Reporting to the Exploration Manager, the Land Access Co-ordinator will be responsible for managing land access requirements to ensure exploration programs are delivered safely, efficiently and in compliance with all regulatory and stakeholder obligations.
This role works closely with exploration, environmental and heritage teams while maintaining strong relationships with pastoralists, Traditional Owners, government agencies and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate land access approvals for drilling programs, heritage surveys, access tracks, camps and exploration activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with pastoral leaseholders, Traditional Owners, heritage representatives and local stakeholders.
- Coordinate heritage surveys, access agreements and landholder notifications.
- Manage land access registers, agreements, correspondence and stakeholder commitments.
- Work closely with exploration, environmental and permitting teams to support exploration schedules.
- Conduct regular site visits to maintain stakeholder relationships and assess access requirements.
- Ensure compliance with the Mining Act 1978 (WA), Native Title requirements and Aboriginal Heritage legislation.
- Assist in resolving land access issues and operational constraints.
- Provide guidance to exploration teams regarding access conditions and stakeholder obligations.
- Support rehabilitation and closure activities through stakeholder coordination.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience in Land Access, Stakeholder Engagement, Exploration, Mining, Environmental or Pastoral Liaison.
- Strong understanding of exploration operations within Western Australia.
- Knowledge of pastoral leases, Native Title, Aboriginal Heritage and exploration permitting processes.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently in remote environments.
- Current Manual Driver's Licence.
- Willingness to travel to remote exploration sites as required.
