The Role
This is an opportunity to join a small government agency in a web and digital content role, assisting with the maintenance, monitoring and development of the agency’s intranet and official website.
Working as part of a collaborative and fast-paced team who all love what they do, you will support online publishing, web content updates, reporting, accessibility and broader digital initiatives. This role would suit someone with CMS experience who enjoys problem solving, working with stakeholders and contributing to user-focused web content.
This role will be offered at either the APS4 or APS5 level depending on experience.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Loading, updating and maintaining web and intranet content
- Supporting incident and problem resolution for web-related matters
- Preparing electronic versions of publications for online distribution
- Liaising with internal staff to ensure timely delivery of print and electronic publishing services
- Developing and publishing user-focused, accessible web content
- Running web analytics and supporting reporting activities
- Contributing to web and mobile initiatives
- Providing technical and administrative support to the team
To be considered for this role, you will bring:
- Experience using a Content Management System, such as GovCMS, Drupal or Kentico
- Experience preparing HTML reports or publications for public release
- An understanding of government web standards, best practice and WCAG accessibility guidelines
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with internal and external stakeholders
- Good organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise work and escalate issues when needed
- A collaborative approach and willingness to learn and continue developing your web content skills
