Safetec Group is seeking a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Advisor to join our team immediately on a part-time basis (2 days per week). Based in Gnarwarre, Victoria, this role is pivotal in supporting our organisation's commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance across our operations.
This role will suit a motivated safety professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams to promote a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with WHS requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing general HSE support across project and operational activities
- Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of health, safety and environmental systems
- Supporting risk management, inspections and site-based safety initiatives
- Contributing to incident reporting and corrective action processes
- Maintaining HSE documentation, records and compliance requirements
- Delivering safety communications, inductions and toolbox talks as required
- Supporting audits, reporting and stakeholder engagement activities
- Promoting a positive safety culture and continuous improvement across the workplace
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a HSE Advisor, Safety Advisor or Safety Officer position
- Strong knowledge and practical understanding of Australian WHS legislation and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both frontline personnel and management teams
- Experience working on electrical, BESS/KBESS, infrastructure, construction or similar high-risk projects
- Strong reporting, administration and documentation skills
- A proactive and collaborative approach to health, safety and environmental management
