Are you a hospitality professional ready to run the floor at one of the most vibrant and high-volume hotels in Far North Queensland? The Atherton Hotel is looking for a driven, floor-focused Assistant Manager who lives for the buzz of a busy pub and knows how to keep a large crew moving in sync.

"The Atherton" is a buzzing regional flagship. Whether it's a packed Friday night crowd catching up in the public bar, a bustling family dinner rush in the bistro, or overseeing our retail and accommodation wings, this venue requires a leader who loves being right at the center of a high-energy trade. We need someone with sharp operational instincts who can maintain elite standards and deliver authentic, gold-class country hospitality across every single shift.

A Day In The Life Of An Assistant Manager

Inherent Requirements

This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

About You

You’ve been around the bar, bistro,



or gaming room block, and maybe already done some supervisingYou’ve learned from great managers and now you’re ready to step upYou’ve got the confidence, pride, and people skills to be the face of the pub when the boss is awayYou’ve got a current RSA/RSG, RMLV and Approved Managers Licence as per state requirements
