McIntosh & Son, Redcliffe is seeking an experienced Pre-Delivery Coordinator to join our Service team. Reporting to the Service Manager, we are looking for a motivated and organised trade-qualified technician who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship, enjoys mentoring others, and thrives in a fast-paced workshop environment.
This is a hands-on role that combines workshop coordination with technical servicing. You'll oversee the day-to-day operation of our pre-delivery workshop while also carrying out servicing, repairs and quality assurance on new machinery, ensuring every machine is delivered to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the daily operations of the pre-delivery workshop to ensure efficient workflow and quality outcomes
- Liaise with the Sales team to ensure a seamless customer experience and on-time machine deliveries
- Manage contractor scheduling, purchase orders and inductions in consultation with Health & Safety
- Coordinate and complete quality assurance checks, including arrival reports for new machinery
- Coach, support and develop Trade Assistants and Apprentices
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and other technical faults that may be present on new machines
- Complete accurate job cards, service records and warranty documentation
- Maintain workshop equipment, tools and a clean, safe working environment
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, workshop projects and safety meetings
- Complete inspections on recent machine arrival and registrations in accordance with OEM requirement
- Transport claims and PDI warranty submission to be completed within OEM required window
About you:
- Trade qualified Agricultural, Heavy Diesel or Mechanical Technician (Certificate III or equivalent)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a high standard of workmanship
- Organised with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- A supportive team player who enjoys mentoring and developing others
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships across departments
- Committed to safety, quality and delivering an outstanding customer experience
- A current driver's licence is essential
- Computer skills and a strong sense of record keeping (photos/work description)
- Critical attention to detail on new machine aesthetics
The following would be advantageous but not essential:
- Auto electrical experience
- Refrigerant Handling Licence
- First Aid Certificate
- HR, MR or HC Driver's Licence
- Forklift Licence
