The Centre values innovation, cultural diversity, and meaningful engagement with residents and visitors.Role Description The Arts and Culture Programs Officer is a full time, on-site role based at Singleton Arts + Cultural Centre in Singleton, NSW. This position is responsible for designing, coordinating, and delivering a range of arts and cultural programs, including exhibitions, workshops, events, and community projects. Daily tasks include liaising with artists and cultural practitioners, managing program schedules, handling event logistics, and ensuring activities run safely and smoothly. The Officer will develop program content, prepare promotional materials, and collaborate with marketing staff to attract diverse audiences.
The role also involves community outreach, building partnerships with local groups and schools, tracking attendance and program outcomes, and preparing reports and recommendations for future initiatives.
QualificationsExperience in planning, coordinating, and evaluating arts, cultural, or community programs.Knowledge of contemporary arts practice, community cultural development, and audience engagement strategies.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with artists, stakeholders, and community members.Organizational and time-management skills, including experience with scheduling, budgeting support, and event logistics.Ability to work on-site, manage multiple projects, and respond proactively to operational needs during events and programs.Competence with standard office software and digital tools for documentation, reporting, and basic promotional activities.Relevant qualification in arts management, cultural studies, event management, community development, or a related field, or equivalent experience.Understanding of inclusive and accessible program design, with a commitment to equity, diversity, and culturally respectful practice.
