We are currently seeking reliable and motivated Laundry Assistants to join our busy production team.
Employment Type: Part Time (09:00am-2:00pm)
Monday to Friday (25 hours per week)
About the Role
This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced commercial laundry environment. You will assist with processing linen from start to finish, helping ensure our facilities receive clean and professionally prepared linen.
Your duties will include:
- Sorting personal laundry for our aged care facilities and scrubs for our Aegis Health hospital.
- Operating industrial washers, dryers and ironer/folder equipment
- Inspecting linen for cleanliness and quality
- Folding, packing and preparing linen orders for dispatch
- Picking and packing linen based on order lists
- Maintaining safe work practices and hygiene standards
- Working collaboratively to meet daily production targets
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Positive attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Physical capability for manual handling tasks and working on your feet
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- A positive, reliable and “can-do” attitude
Desirable:
- Previous experience in commercial or healthcare laundry
