Cafe Manager

What You'll Be Doing

As Cafe Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day success of the venue, including:

- Leading smooth and efficient daily operations.

- Managing opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation and banking.

- Overseeing stock ordering, inventory control, and supplier management.

- Creating a welcoming, customer-first culture that delivers outstanding service.

- Maintaining high coffee standards, including grinder calibration, machine setup, and barista support.

- Recruiting, onboarding, training, and developing team members.

- Managing staff performance and fostering a positive team culture.

- Preparing and managing rosters in line with labour targets and business needs.

- Identifying opportunities to grow revenue and improve profitability.

- Collaborating with the Head Chef to plan seasonal specials, events, and promotional campaigns.





- Maintaining exceptional venue presentation and ensuring brand standards are consistently met.

- Managing customer feedback, reviews, and complaint resolution both in person and online.

- Conducting regular staff meetings and ongoing training sessions.

- Coordinating venue maintenance and bi-annual deep cleaning programs.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

- Previous experience in a hospitality management role.

- Strong barista experience and coffee knowledge.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

- Experience with POS systems and back-office administration.

- A proactive attitude with a passion for continuous improvement.

- The ability to lead by example and thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications & Experience

- Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree in Hospitality, Management, or a related field preferred.

- Minimum 1 year of management experience with relevant qualifications; OR

- Minimum 3 years of hospitality management experience without formal qualifications.
