Midnight Hotel is seeking an experienced and hands-on F&B; Supervisor to join our team. This dynamic role requires someone who can assist in managing operations for our dinner restaurant, oversee function setups and pack-downs, and ensure smooth bar operations. The primary focus of this role will be the evening operation, with responsibility for overseeing Braddon Merchant dinner service and Conference & Events setup and execution. We are looking for someone who can confidently lead the team, ensure service standards are maintained, and take ownership of the operation during evening service.

As a Food and Beverage Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest experience by ensuring smooth operations, demonstrating confidence, rich knowledge of food and wine, training and coaching the team to deliver exceptional service. You will work closely with the F&B; Management team to address all customer concerns and create an exceptional dining experience.

The Role:

- Assisting in managing a team of F&B; staff, providing leadership and support.

- Preparing and managing staff rosters effectively.

- Overseeing and participating in a la carte service, ensuring high standards are consistently met.

- Delivering exceptional customer service with a focus on attention to detail.

- Ensuring the dining room is always presentable and ready for service.

- Conducting opening shifts and handle cashiering responsibilities.

- Lead by example with a hands-on approach to operations.

We are looking for:

- Dynamic, vibrant, and a confident professional.





- Proven experience in F&B; operations, including restaurant, functions, and bar. Preferable in a hotel setting.

- Strong leadership and communication skills with experience in team management.

- Proficiency in writing rosters and handling shift rotations.

- Deep understanding of a la carte service, beverages and exceptional customer service delivery.

- High attention to detail to maintain a polished and welcoming dining environment.

- Availability to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends.

- You must also meet the legal requirements to work in this country

- Excellent personal presentation and exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.

- Demonstrate a “Passion for Excellence "through serving our guests with flair and personalized service.

- A current Responsible Service of Alcohol qualification.

- The flexibility to work various shifts on a rotating roster across weekdays, weekends and public holidays with late finishing times.

- Excellent customer relations, and ability to engage with customers.

- Willingness to manage multiple tasks, conflicting deadlines and varying guest situations.

- Demonstrate people management, leadership skills and training/coaching team members.

- Strong local knowledge of Canberra and the surrounding regions is highly desirable but not essential.
