About the role

Little Pioneers Early Learning Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our team in Arcadia Vale, NSW. This is a full-time or part-time position, depending on your availability and preferences.

As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive learning environment where children aged 0–5 years can thrive developmentally, socially, emotionally and intellectually. You will play a vital role in supporting each child's growth and development whilst building strong partnerships with families and colleagues. This position is strategic to our centre's mission of providing exceptional early childhood education and care that lays the foundation for lifelong learning and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

1. Plan, implement and evaluate educational programs that are responsive to each child's individual needs, interests and developmental stage

2. Supervise and support children's play-based learning, both indoors and outdoors, to promote curiosity and skill development

3. Maintain a safe, clean and well-organised learning environment that complies with all health, safety and hygiene standards

4. Build positive relationships with children and create an atmosphere of trust, belonging and respect

5. Communicate regularly with parents and carers regarding their child's progress, achievements and developmental milestones

6. Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the centre's philosophy and ensure consistent, high-quality practice

7. Observe, document and assess children's development using relevant frameworks and tools

8. Identify and respond to children's individual learning needs, including those with additional support requirements

9. Maintain detailed records and contribute to centre documentation and reporting

10. Participate in professional development and contribute to continuous improvement practices

What we're looking for

1. A current and approved Early Childhood Teacher qualification

2. Current Working with Children Check clearance or the ability to obtain one

3. Current certification in First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain this)

4.



Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood development and learning frameworks, such as the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) or National Quality Standard (NQS)

5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

6. Ability to create inclusive, supportive learning environments that respect diversity and individual differences

7. Enthusiasm for play-based learning and understanding of how children learn through play and exploration

8. Physical ability to perform the duties of the role, including lifting, bending and sitting on the floor

9. Commitment to safeguarding children's wellbeing and maintaining professional boundaries

10. Flexibility, reliability and a positive attitude towards teamwork and collaborative practice.
