Lead the structural engineering function within Raven Engineering Group.

Prepare and certify structural calculations.

Design modular steel water storage tanks and associated structures.

Design and review roofs, platforms, stair systems, ladders and support steel.

Coordinate footing and slab requirements with civil and geotechnical engineers.

Review fabrication drawings before manufacture.

Provide engineering support during fabrication and construction.

Respond to technical queries from clients, consultants and contractors.

Work directly with independent verifiers where required.

Develop standard designs, engineering procedures and internal calculation libraries.

Assist with product development and continuous improvement.

Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Minimum 8 years Australian structural engineering experience.





Current RPEQ registration, or eligibility to obtain RPEQ.

Strong knowledge of Australian Standards including AS/NZS 1170, AS 4100 and AS/NZS 4600.

Experience designing steel structures.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating with a remote team.

Practical engineering mindset with robust attention to detail.

Highly regarded Experience in water infrastructure.

Experience with tanks, reservoirs or industrial structures.

Experience with reinforced concrete footing design.

Experience with finite element analysis.

Experience reviewing fabrication drawings.

Experience mentoring junior engineers.
