Project Engineer – DIDO/FIFO | Regional NSW145K - $180K + 15% site uplift (3:1 working roster)
An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced Project Engineer to join a respected civil contractor delivering a major energy infrastructure project in Central Western NSW.
About the RoleReporting to the Project Manager, you will provide engineering and project delivery support across all phases of construction. Working closely with Supervisors, Site Engineers, and subcontractors, you'll ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project specifications, budget, and program.
From planning and procurement through to quality assurance, cost control and client coordination, you'll play an integral role in the successful delivery of complex civil infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities· Coordinate the delivery of civil construction works across a major substation and transmission line project in Regional NSW· Develop and maintain short-term programs and construction methodologies· Review engineering drawings, specifications,
and technical documentation· Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and procurement activities· Prepare work packs, ITPs, SWMS, and project documentation· Monitor project progress, productivity, and resource requirements· Ensure works meet quality standards, contractual requirements, and Australian Standards· Manage RFIs, design coordination and technical queries· Assist with cost forecasting, variations, budgeting, and commercial reporting· Conduct site inspections and support quality assurance processes· Maintain accurate project records and progress reporting· Foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with WHS and environmental requirements
About YouStrong foundation in Civil Engineering, with experience applying civil engineering principles on construction projects.Skills in Civil Engineering Design and Site Development for energy or infrastructure projects.Knowledge of Stormwater Management, drainage design, and related regulatory requirements.Experience in Quality Control, including inspections, compliance checks, and documentation.Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.Previous experience in civil construction, preferably on energy or infrastructure projects.Ability to work on-site in Merotherie, NSW on a DIDO/FIFO arrangement, with a strong focus on safety and teamwork.Proficiency with relevant engineering software, project documentation,
and MS Office tools.Effective communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with stakeholders.Current White Card and unrestricted Australian Driver LicenceAbility to pass medical screening and drug/alcohol tests.
