About the Role
We are seeking an energetic, highly organized Assistant Manager to join our Gungahlin centre on a Part-Time basis.

This role is cantered on managing customer relationships (parents), keeping students engaged, and guiding our casual team of math instructors. This is a weekday afternoon/evening role, requiring availability between 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM, Monday to Friday.

Extensive, fully paid training on centre operations and the Mathnasium Method™ is provided.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Parent Relations: Build exceptional relationships with families, conduct student progress meetings, and handle enrolment inquiries.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, schedule, and motivate a casual team of math instructors to ensure high-quality instruction.
- Student Progress Management: Administer diagnostic math assessments, manage student learning plans, and celebrate academic milestones.

Skills and Experience:

- Math Proficiency: Strong mathematical confidence spanning primary and secondary school levels. A background in STEM fields (Engineering, Science, Finance) or a teaching/education background is highly preferred.
- Australian Curriculum Knowledge: A sound familiarity with the Australian Curriculum.



Candidates who completed their primary and/or secondary schooling in Australia will be highly preferred.
- Communication & People Skills: 1–2 years of experience in a customer-facing role (such as hospitality supervision, retail management, or senior tutoring). You must be an energetic communicator who loves talking to parents and leading a young team.
- Compliance: A current, valid Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration is mandatory before starting.
