We are seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join the team at Azzurri Foods in Bolinda, VIC 3432. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in our warehousing and distribution operations. As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and organisation of goods throughout our facility. Your contributions will directly support the timely delivery of products to our customers and help maintain the smooth operation of our logistics network.
Key responsibilities
1. Receiving, checking and processing incoming goods and merchandise
2. Accurately storing items in designated locations
3. Picking and packing orders according to specifications and delivery requirements
4. Labelling, weighing and preparing packages for shipment
5. Maintaining accurate inventory records and conducting regular stock checks
6. Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and trolleys safely and responsibly
7. Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and compliant with health and safety standards
8. Supporting the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles
9. Assisting with inventory audits and cycle counts
10. Reporting any discrepancies, damages or issues to management
What we're looking for
1.
Previous warehouse or logistics experience is highly desirable
2. Physical capability to lift, carry and move items regularly, including heavy loads
3. Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and basic computer skills
4. Ability to operate forklifts or similar warehouse equipment (or willingness to obtain certification)
5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
6. Excellent organisational and time management skills
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
8. Commitment to health and safety practices and procedures
9. Reliability and punctuality
10. Clear communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
11. Current or willing to obtain a valid driver's licence (preferred)
