About The Role
We are looking for a Senior Compliance Engineer who is responsible for ensuring all our company’s products meet the compliance requirements for the various markets and regions in which they are sold. This includes working closely with relevant stakeholders to determine the applicable standards, ensuring appropriate testing and management of the results and declarations required.
Supervising a small but important team, you will supervise our Compliance Administrator and provide guidance, support and direction across all compliance related activities.
Reporting to our Products Engineer, you will be in a full-time role with flexible working hours based at our office in Bentley.
Your day-to-day will revolve around the following:
- Planning, executing, delegating and supervising compliance testing of products.
- Coordinating certification activities with test laboratories.
- Working with sales and customers to provide the information packages required.
- Working with suppliers and supply chain to obtain required information.
- Monitoring changes to standards and actioning as required.
- Managing new compliances as we enter new markets.
What Will Make You Successful In this Role?
You are someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, has a keen eye for detail and takes pride in ensuring things are done properly. You can confidently navigate regulatory requirements,
work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders and take ownership of compliance outcomes throughout the product lifecycle.
You will likely bring:
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience working with regulatory requirements and test laboratories.
- Experience in cross-functional engagement and leadership.
- Strong background in compliance testing of electronics products.
- Good understanding of international certifications (RCM, CE, FCC) for electronics products.
- Good understanding of REACH and RoHS.
- Familiarity with managing the compliance of products.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to develop, write and communicate test requirements and plans.
- Ability to read, interpret, and validate Test Reports from test laboratories.
- Effective organisational and time management skills to ensure deadlines are adhered to.
- Strong attention to detail, high level of accuracy, and analytical skills.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
- Proven problem-solving skills, investigating issues and resolving them appropriately.
- Proven stakeholder engagement, including reporting issues to stakeholders and ensuring proactive engagement to successful delivery.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to inspire and motivate others, commitment to fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
