A rare opportunity is available for a Specialist Veterinary Radiologist or Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join a multidisciplinary specialist referral hospital in Perth’s northern suburbs. This position offers the chance to practise high-level diagnostic imaging within a collaborative referral environment, supported by advanced technology and close interaction with specialists across multiple disciplines.

You’ll work alongside specialists in surgery, oncology, internal medicine, cardiology, anaesthesia and emergency and critical care, playing an integral role in the diagnosis, treatment planning and ongoing management of complex referral cases. Collaboration is central to the way the hospital operates, with regular multidisciplinary rounds, case discussions and open communication between services ensuring patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.

The imaging department is equipped with advanced diagnostic technology including a Siemens MAGNETOM Flow.Ace B60 MRI, Siemens SOMATOM go.All 64-slice CT scanner, Siemens Multix Impact E digital radiography system and Siemens Cios Flow mobile C-arm fluoroscopy unit. GE ultrasound platforms support advanced abdominal and thoracic imaging as well as interventional procedures, allowing the imaging service to support a broad and varied referral caseload.

The wider hospital infrastructure further enhances patient care and clinical decision making, with access to specialist surgical facilities, a dedicated intensive care unit, advanced in-house diagnostics, blood bank and transfusion medicine services, and strong relationships with external reference laboratories.

Applicants should hold board certification, be board eligible, or have completed a recognised residency in veterinary radiology or diagnostic imaging and be eligible for specialist registration in Western Australia. A strong commitment to evidence-based medicine, excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a specialist team are essential.

The position is available on either a full-time or part-time basis, with a competitive and flexible remuneration package available based on experience, specialist qualifications and the scope of the role.

The employer is willing to assist with a work visa (sponsorship) for suitable overseas candidates. Applicants must have a Bachelor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent) and be eligible for registration as a veterinary practitioner in Australia.
