THE ROLE

Assist with weekly cash flow forecasting Prepare monthly financial accounts, including review of balance sheet reconciliationsAnalyse accounts and investigate material variances from budget expenditureConsolidate and distribute various financial reportsPrepare and post monthly journals including prepayments, provisions and accrualsWIP file maintenance, including interpretation of financial data provisionsPreparation and posting of monthly consolidation journalsReview monthly overhead reports, consolidation journals and balance sheet reconciliationsSupport external audits, ensuring audit files and statutory accounts organisedAnalyse intercompany loans, reconciliations and recordsUpdate project budgets, ensuring costs are accurately recorded and allocatedGenerate and interpret detailed financial statements Provide guidance and technical advicePerform ad-hoc daily accounting tasks and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

About You

Minimum of 5 years in a similar roleExperience in a project-based construction environmentCertified Practicing Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalentBachelor of Business/Commerce - Accounting or equivalent (desirable)Strong level of computer skills, with a particular focus on ExcelFamiliarity with large ERP systems (Oracle JD Edwards experience advantageous)Exceptional organisational, written and communication skills.
