The Role
Contributes to policy and procedure development for the Right to Negotiate process, land access for resource exploration and development,



and integration of native title and resource sector activities.Manages and monitors resource tenure applications through the expedited procedure and Right to Negotiate future act processes under the Native Title Act 1993.Manages project delivery, including stakeholder coordination and negotiation.Develops, implements and evaluates business processes and programs relating to resource sector regulation, working with operational branches and outstations to facilitate resource access.Assists with the review and development of policies and guidelines, and coordinates procedure implementation to support compliance with the Native Title Act 1993 (Cth).Provides operational advice and recommendations on Native Title projects and implements Government decisions in consultation with the Manager Resource Access.Contributes to resource access planning and performance reporting.Prepares reports, minutes and ministerial documentation.Undertakes travel and remote area work as required.Reviews and monitors application status and implements strategies to maintain timely approvals.Participates in continuous improvement of resource tenure policy, processes and guidance materials, including maintaining current documentation in information management systems.
