About the Role:
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide one-on-one and group support to individuals with disabilities in our SIL homes and within the community. You will assist with personal care, daily living activities, meal preparation, mobility support, and community participation while working closely with clients to implement person-centered support plans tailored to their individual needs. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference by supporting individuals to achieve their goals, build independence, and enhance their quality of life.
Key Requirements:
- Certificate III or IV in Disability or Individual Support.
- Understanding of person-centered practices and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with patience, empathy, and professionalism.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current Working With Children Check / OCHRE Card.
- Current Police Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Current NT Full Driver's License and a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
