The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Track Protector who will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of protection activities within the rail corridor for compliance with the Code of Practice and provide safety advice to ensure there is no safety risk to trains or the public.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform track protection duties in line with the relevant Codes of Practice and Rule Book on the Adelaide Metro Passenger Rail Network (AMPRN) for internal works, third party works and ARTC
- Perform your duties both autonomously and as part of a team as required
- Plan out jobs and complete accurate paperwork according to procedures
- Manage competing priorities, develop collaborative relationships, and communicate at all levels of an organisation
- Work on a 9/5 and 10/4 roster with weekend work, overtime and on-call required

About You

- Track protection qualifications and prior experience as a Track Protection Officer on AMPRN and ARTC is essential




- You will be passionate about safety and ensuring the safety of your colleagues and all workers
- Current Drivers Licence
- Forklift and HR license- desirable
- Highly developed problem-solving skills
- Extensive experience in working under broad guidelines
- Must be able to obtain Category 1 Safety Critical Rail Worker health assessment
- AMPRN Perform Lookout Working
- AMPRN Absolute Signal Blocking
- AMPRN Track Occupancy Authority
- AMPRN Track Work Authority
- TLIC2081 - Pilot Rail Traffic within Work on Track Authority limits
- Implement a Local Possession Authority- Desirable
- ARTC COP Track worker Level 1 and 2
- Cert ll in Rail infrastructure- desirable or minimum core units
- AMPRN PRES Duties
- Current First Aid Certificate
