OPPORTUNITY
With a number of exciting projects on the horizon, we are currently seeking Project Supervisors to join our growing team. These opportunities are based in the Pilbara on a FIFO 2:1 / 8:6 roster, with a further project located 300 km north of Perth on a DIDO basis. Experience on MRWA & Mining Civil works would be advantageous.
Reporting to the Project/Site Manager, you will provide operational health, safety and environmental support across the project to promote safe work practices, legislative compliance and effective risk management — partnering with leaders, workers and project teams to deliver practical advice, training, monitoring, investigation support and reporting.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in WHS in Civil Construction
- Experience in a health, safety and environment advisory or similar role within construction, civil, infrastructure, mining, or a comparable operational environment
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or other relevant HSE qualification
- Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- First Aid qualification
- Current valid driver's licence
- Valid right to work in Australia
- Sound knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, regulations and relevant industry standards
- Knowledge of incident reporting, investigation processes and corrective action management
- High level of computer literacy: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Excellent safety awareness, work ethic and communication skills
- Strong ability to work collaboratively with clients, fellow workers, management and field crews
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide practical advice and support to leaders, supervisors and workers on health,
safety and environmental requirements, obligations and safe work practices
- Positively influence safety behaviours and support a proactive, accountable safety culture across the project
- Conduct site visits, inspections and monitoring activities to identify hazards, verify controls and assess compliance with HSE requirements
- Support the identification, assessment and management of operational and site-based HSE risks
- Lead or support incident and event investigations in line with company requirements and expected timeframes
- Maintain HSE records, registers and reporting systems to support operational, client and business reporting requirements
- Support the implementation and continual improvement of HSE systems, policies, procedures and controls
- Provide HSE training, consultation and communication to support workforce capability and awareness
- Establish and maintain professional working relationships with project teams, clients and service providers
