About the Role

Hipac Healthcare is seeking an experienced Service Technician / Field Service Technician to install, maintain and repair healthcare equipment across customer sites across metropolitan and regional customer sites in South Australia.

This is a hands-on, autonomous role suited to a technician who is confident working independently, troubleshooting faults, and managing their own schedule across multiple service job and installation.

You will play a key role in ensuring equipment used in clinical environments is safe, compliant, and operating reliably.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, service and maintain healthcare equipment on-site
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults
- Configure, test and troubleshoot network-connected devices
- Perform basic IT and networking tasks to support equipment installation and ongoing service.
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Complete service reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
- Manage your own workload and service schedule
- Travel to customer sites across metro and regional locations, with occasional interstate travel.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

- Ability to travel, including overnight stays, as required.




- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently in customer environments
- Robust time management and organisational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Current driver’s licence
- Suitable vehicle

Desirable:

- 5+ years’ experience in a Service Technician / Field Service role
- Trade qualification (Electrical, Mechanical or similar)
- Experience working with medical, healthcare, or technical equipment
- Experience with hydraulic systems
- Electrical Test & Tag AS/NZS 3551
