The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Physiotherapy Assistant to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

- Assist the Physiotherapist in implementing physiotherapy programs and activities
- Provide a defined range of treatments and initiate changes to treatment programs
- Participate in quality and service improvement programs and activities
- Provide feedback to the Physiotherapists and multidisciplinary team on client performance

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Paid Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

- Permanent part-time
- Base salary ranging from $34.53 - $36.34 per hour

The Physiotherapy department works across Robina Hospital, Gold Coast University Hospital and Robina Health Precinct employing upwards of 100 full time equivalent Physiotherapists and Physiotherapy Assistants within inpatient, outpatient and community services.
