About the role

SPL Security Solutions is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join our growing team in Bundall, Queensland. This is a full-time position that offers a strategic opportunity to lead financial operations and drive financial excellence within our organisation. As Senior Finance Manager, you will take on a pivotal role in managing our financial functions, ensuring compliance, optimising processes, and providing critical financial insights to support business decision-making. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the financial direction of SPL Security Solutions and contributing to our continued success and growth.

Key responsibilities

1. Oversee and manage all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting

2. Prepare and present accurate financial statements and reports to senior management and stakeholders in a timely manner

3. Develop and monitor budgets, working with department heads to ensure financial discipline and cost control across the organisation

4. Manage cash flow, working capital and financial planning to optimise liquidity and support business objectives

5. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and financial governance requirements

6. Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional excellence

7. Implement and maintain robust financial controls, systems and processes to safeguard company assets

8. Conduct financial analysis and provide strategic recommendations to support business planning and decision-making

9. Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors and regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance and audit readiness

Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the finance function

What we're looking for

1. 5+ years' experience in a senior finance role, preferably within a mid-sized organisation or larger corporate environment

2. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management practices and Australian accounting standards (AASB/IFRS)

3. Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, budgeting and forecasting

4. Demonstrated expertise in financial control implementation, risk management and compliance

5. Advanced proficiency with accounting software and financial management systems, including experience with cloud-based platforms

6. Solid analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights

7. Excellent leadership and team management capabilities, with a track record of developing high-performing teams

8. Outstanding communication skills, able to present complex financial information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

9. Tertiary qualification in accounting, commerce, finance or related discipline

10. Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, CPAA or equivalent) preferred
