About the role

Our dermatology practice is seeking a part-time nurse to join our team every Friday. We would also value someone who is flexible to cover sick and annual leave during the week. This role would suit a nurse who is not looking for full time hours and enjoys working in a small but welcoming close-knit practice.

What you'll be doing

- Wound care (suture removal and dressings) for patients who have undergone complex surgical reconstructions including skin flaps and grafts

- Administering phototherapy to patients

- Setting up for biopsy and surgical excisions

- Assisting doctors with procedures

- Contacting patients to deliver results

- Educating patients on skin care, treatment plans, and post-operative care

- Cleaning and sterilising surgical equipment

- Covering for front of house when required (reception, answering calls etc)

What we're looking for

- Registered Nurse (RN) or Enrolled Nurse (EN)



with a current AHPRA registration

- Interest in wound management and nursing best practices

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with patients, doctors, and other healthcare teams

- Experience in Genie medical software will be highly regarded

- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a positive team setting

- Committed to providing high-quality, patient-centred care

The ideal candidate should be a quick learner and a team player with a “can do" attitude. The clinic can get very busy at times and the candidate must be able to prioritise their work in a calm and structured manner whilst always giving pleasant and friendly care to our patients.
