About the opportunity
This is an opportunity to join one of Victoria's most distinctive natural resource management organisations at a time of significant environmental, cultural and community change. As Manager Communications and Engagement, you will help shape how Mallee CMA tells its story, builds trust with communities and partners, and supports practical outcomes across landscapes of regional and state significance.

Mallee CMA is seeking a committed and proven manager to lead the communications and engagement functions of our unique organisation. Working with a high-performing, multi-disciplinary team, the successful candidate will provide trusted advice to senior leaders, support major projects and partnerships, and help shape conversations that improve environmental, cultural and social outcomes across the high-value landscapes of the Mallee region.
This is a Senior Executive Officer position offered on an ongoing basis. A competitive total remuneration package of $135,000 - $165,000 is available,
negotiable depending on skills and experience.
The location preference for this position is Mildura, but flexible remote working arrangements considered.
What we're looking for
We are looking for someone with drive, sound judgement and enthusiasm, with a proven record in community and stakeholder consultation, strategic communications and engagement.
You can build trust, negotiate constructively, provide clear advice and lead people through complex and sometimes sensitive issues.
This role will suit someone who thrives in a dynamic setting, can respond confidently to changing priorities, shows initiative, understands accountability and remains focused on practical outcomes for community, partners and the organisation.
The position requires a degree qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related/relevant discipline with extensive experience.
