Residency by Dillons, Mount Lawley is a boutique family run aged care facility located in the heart of Mount Lawley. We are currently seeking an experienced Casual Registered Nurse to join our friendly team. This opportunity will allow you to demonstrate your clinical skills within an organisation that values collaborative team work in a family focused environment to provide the best care for our residents.
Candidates must be available to work the following shifts if required:
- Monday Night Shift: 23:00pm - 07:15pm
- Thursday Night Shift: 23:00pm - 07:15pm
- Friday Morning Shift: 07:00am - 15:15pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, coordinate and monitor the individual needs and the provision of appropriate care to meet individual requirements of all residents.
- Provide timely nursing interventions to ensure that the optimum level of health status is achieved by all residents.
- Make appropriate referral of particular aspects of needs to senior staff or seeks assistance with more complex assessments.
- Contribute to the development of individual care plans in consultation with residents, relatives and other support staff.
- Respect the rights of each resident to make informed choices about their health care requirements and residency.
- Maintain appropriate clinical records in accordance with legislative requirements and the policies of the Facility.
- Ensure that all practices and utilization of goods and equipment is consistent with safety requirements.
- Work in accordance with the Code of Ethics for Nurses and regulations as required by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Essential Requirements:
- A minimum of two years of Registered Nursing experience (Aged Care Experience is highly desirable)
- Current AHPRA Nursing registration
- Ability to lead a team on shift
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently and professionally
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Current National Police Clearance
- Evidence of right to work in Australia
- Demonstrated genuine desire to provision of care to frail and aged people
- Knowledge and understanding of AN-ACC assessments will be highly regarded
- Ability to effectively communicate in written and oral English
