Austech Illusions is a well-established Western Australian manufacturer specialising in fire-fighting equipment, pressure washer systems, trailers, custom steel fabrication, and large public art sculptures.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a reliable 2nd Class Welder / Fabricator to join our team at our Midvale workshop.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with MIG welding experience who wants to further develop their fabrication skills while working on a wide variety of engaging projects.
About the Role
Your day-to-day work will include:
- MIG welding mild steel components
- Fabricating trailers and fire-fighting equipment
- Building pressure washer skids and custom steel products
- Cutting, grinding and preparing materials
- Operating workshop machinery and fabrication equipment
- Reading workshop drawings and following production instructions
- Assisting with custom fabrication and unique public art projects
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
About You
To be successful you will have:
- Experience with MIG welding
- Basic fabrication experience
- Ability to read a tape measure and workshop drawings
- Good attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Current Australian driver's licence
- Full Australian working rights
A trade qualification is not essential. We are happy to provide further training for the right person with the right attitude.
