At Ravenswood Gold, we're committed to mining safely, sustainably and efficiently. We're looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Mining Technical Services team and provide critical geotechnical support across our open pit operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working closely with operational teams, solving technical challenges and influencing mine performance through practical geotechnical solutions.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you'll play a key role in maintaining the stability and safety of our mining operations while providing technical expertise across pit design, ground control and monitoring activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Monitoring pit wall performance and providing recommendations to support safe mining operations.
- Maintaining and managing site geotechnical monitoring systems and slope monitoring databases.
- Conducting stability assessments using empirical, kinematic and numerical analysis techniques.
- Completing regular pit inspections, geotechnical mapping and field data collection.
- Analysing and interpreting geotechnical data to support operational decision making.
- Assisting with pit design reviews, void management and mine planning activities.
- Supporting the ongoing development and compliance of the Ground Control Management Plan.
- Coordinating geotechnical consultants and contractors as required.
- Working closely with Mine Planning, Geology and Mining Operations to optimise safety and performance.





About You

You'll be a proactive and analytical engineer who enjoys working in a collaborative operational environment and is passionate about improving mine safety and performance.

You'll also bring:

- A Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mining or Geotechnical Engineering, or Geology with postgraduate qualifications or experience in Geomechanics.
- Experience within an open pit mining environment (preferred).
- Proficiency using Deswik software.
- Experience with Maptek PointStudio.
- Experience using the Rocscience software suite.
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to build strong relationships across technical and operational teams.
